Artist's Multi-Technical Paintbox

In 1990 I designed an innovating paintbox to facilitate the transportation and the handling of colors in powder also called pigments. A unique stopper-plate seals and allows an instant use of the interchangeable jars assigned to pigments. Only one set of colors in powder is sufficient to paint in a multitude of techniques. To change technique one only need to change the binder. The binder is a glue which attaches the pigment on the support. It determinates the behavior of the paint and the way to work with it. Most of basic binders can be combined. Therefore, it is possible to create an infinity of personalized binders ready to use. This solution offers an adventure rich in experiences and possibilities all in one set: Possible techniques with dry pigments: Oil, Alkyd, Encaustic (hot wax), and temperas such as Egg, watercolor, Saponified wax, Dextrine, Casein, Acrylic-Vinylic, etc.
